Gave them a try as a local small business. Was generally unsatisfied. TK checked me in. I asked for a brake bleed, tune up (regarding idle) and safety inspection as the vehicle was over 50 years old and coming out of storage. This was noted when checking it in. TK was nice enough. A week later, I was informed the repairs were complete. There was no call in between to update on the status nor provide an estimate on cost of repairs. They had bled the brakes and changed a fitting (400 dollar fix) and told me the carb must need rebuilt (near 200 dollar diagnosis) and the rebuild would run shy of 700 dollars (I declined their generous offer). They did not perform any other checks as requested, but honestly, I'm glad they didn't as the bill probably would have hit 4 digits. When I inquired on payment and a future service (if they did the carb rebuild) their diagnostic fee would not be waived/ discounted. No cash discount. When asking other questions the older folks that came from the back weren't the most pleasant. I decided then with how they were to charge the amount so they would have fees then leave this review (as they keep messaging me about coming back for service and how they miss my vehicle/ money for more tasks). Pros: local business Cons: higher costs (in line with dealerships) Doesn't perform all services asked Doesn't update with estimate for repairs when they run into something (on my brake system at least), only got carb update after repairs reported "complete" Charges fairly high for diagnostics and doesn't offer to take off that difference with a repair No cash discount Time to complete repairs somewhat lengthy Not the most professional/ cheerful They will hit you up again asking for work Luckily since they've performed these services I've found another small shop with quick turnaround that tends to complete all services requested and at a much more fair price.

Edit: I appreciate your response and applaud you for your efforts in how this was handled in the past and now. Grievances were noted. Please refer to paragraph before pros and cons listed for further information, as the issues were brought up with other staff and it was noted as more of a "it is what it is, deal with it" kind of scenario. This included, but wasn't limited to: how repairs were gone about, notice, diagnostic fees, price (higher than dealerships?), the talk with what I assume was management, etc. Being blown off at the time when the older guy and gal came from the back when I mentioned what I did resulted in nothing (again, please refer above), which is why I paid for the services in full, never returned, and let others know my experience. I was going to let sleeping dogs lie, but reaching out to me multiple times requesting more work on my vehicle convinced me making this review as a more mandatory task. If this interaction (at the time and within your review of how you went about it) proves what this business is made of, it, to me with my experience, would be more unsatisfactory than not. But if you view it as "we did nothing wrong, we did everything correct" that further solidifies my evaluation of the experience and makes me most appreciative this interaction made me branch out and find better establishments for automotive repair. Thank you.

If your like me, you skip past the 5 star ratings and look at the 1 and 2 star ratings. I believe this is where the story is told on a business. How did they handle the situation? I think that every negative situation is an opportunity for a company to show what they are really made of. We are not perfect, but we try. In this particular review the work was performed 8 1/2 months ago. So this puts me at somewhat of a disadvantage. I prefer, if someone has a problem with our services, that they reach out sooner rather than later. So I pulled the work order from our attic and began to review the situation with my staff. Anytime we receive a 1,2,or 3 star review, my staff and I review what we could have done better. Our review from the information and recollections is that all company policies were followed. Had this been brought to our attention soon after the appointment, it would have been easier to review our interactions. Reviews like this keep us focused on customer service. Thank you

Used SC Auto Repair for the 1st this week. My car needed extensive work, which was completed in a timely manner at a fair price. Found the quality of the repairs ti be excellent as well as courteous and professional service from both TK and Robin. I was updated with the issues with my car as well as the cost repair estimate. Will definitely use SILVERCREEK again to service my vehicles.
